Building Update

It has been awhile since my last update, but work at the church site has continued with fervor. Tile has been laid in the bathrooms, the kitchen and the entry ways. The cabinets have been installed. The stone wall on the sanctuary platform has been completed. If you have driven by the building, you have seen the new entryways, lighting, brick and stone. So much has been done -- both seen and unseen. It really isn't the same building we started with anymore.

We are beginning to see light at the end of the tunnel. If all goes according to plan, we should have a better idea of our Relocation Celebration date by the end of the week. When I know more, I will try to post information as well as pictures. Blessings to you all, and thank you for believing God with us as we endeavor to bring Him glory in NWA.

Building Update -- April 9, 2009

Hello again! As many of you know, a couple weeks ago we received a large offering toward our building project. We are so grateful!! Work on the building has been going at a furious pace ever since. There have been crews working in many different areas all at once. The underground system is almost complete -- they began filling the outdoor areas with the backhoe today. The sprinkler system is about 85% complete. We brought in a drywall team and have had some of our guys working with them to install the wall insulation. Nearly all the drywall is up and mudded. Next comes the texture and paint. We are working out the lighting issues and hope to have that complete in the next couple weeks. The HVAC is almost all installed. The electrical is nearly complete. The bathroom plumbing is nearly all ready to be walled in. Once we get the walls and flooring in, we will be able to install the fixtures. The Lord has been so good to us and has helped us at every turn.

As most of you know, we will not have the occupancy permit from the city in time to hold our first service on Easter Sunday. We had hoped to be in by then, but it looks like we will only miss it by 4-6 weeks. As soon as we have a firm date from the city, I will let you know. Those of you who come for the workdays have seen how much the building changes each week and know it can't be long now. I will try to get some more pictures up soon.

We hope to see you this Sunday in our temporary location at Benton County School of the Arts Middle School. Have a wonderful Resurrection Sunday!

Blessings,
Angela

Massive Impact Workday

We want to send out a special thank you to everyone who came out and helped us on our Massive Impact Workday. An extra special thanks to everyone from Living Word River Valley in Alma. Everyone worked hard and we were able to accomplish a great deal. We took a huge jump forward in so many areas that I am sure to miss something. Ceilings in the Youth and all the children's rooms were painted. We worked on HVAC, plumbing, sprinkler system, sheet rock on walls, insulation in walls, lighting, and so much more. The building is really starting to take shape inside, and we have approval now from the city of Rogers to start phase 2 of the build out. We are so thankful!

I regret that I did not take a picture of everyone together -- what was I thinking? But here are a few pictures of the some of work that our dream crew accomplished:

Santuary Walls

Insulation and Soundproofing

Walls in Pastoral, church and staff offices

Ceilings and lighting in offices

A handful of Ceiling Painters

A couple of Monkeys on the Scaffolds

A couple G-now helpers

One very happy Pastor!

Thanks Again!!
Angela

Building Update -- Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2009

We have continued to make consistent progress on our building. We have passed the preliminary inspections. That means we were able to pour the concrete over the new plumbing and get started on the larger set of bathrooms. The men's room will have 4 stalls and the ladies will have 5. That may not sound like a big deal to you, but if you are aware of the makeshift one-staller the workers are having to contend with right now, you will better understand why that is exciting to me.

If you have driven by the building recently, you will have noticed our street sign is repaired and installed. We have plans for a more elaborate sign in the future, but we are happy to have this one working and looking so much better.

Here is a picture of the platform taken from the sound booth and one with Pastor ministering to the volunteers. Soon we will have sheet rock on the walls, but this will give you an idea of where we are going:

See you at the Massive Impact Workday on February 21!
Angela
